Muratie Johanna Rosé is a charming and expressive dry rosé made from Pinot Noir grapes, honouring a beloved member of the Muratie family. With bright aromas of raspberries and a touch of pomegranate and strawberry sherbet on the palate, it’s lively yet refined. Crisp and refreshing, this wine is a true celebration of summer in a glass, and of the enduring warmth and spirit of Johanna herself—whose joy and resilience still colour life at the estate.
"From a young age, Johanna worked in the vineyards of Muratie, but never without a song on her lips. Now happily retired, she continues to bring beauty to the farm – by arranging the flowers in the manor house and cellar. This lively and fruity yet dry rosé celebrates a tenacious woman, overflowing with personality, who embodies the honesty and passion of Muratie and its people."
Produced from Pinot Noir grapes from vines planted at 280m above sea-level yielding 8 tonnes per hectare.
The grapes were sorted, crushed, destalked and transferred to the press. The juice was left on the skins for 2 hours allowing the delicate onion skin colour. Cold fermentation facilitates a slow and steady fermentation which results in the production of a fruity, yet dry rosé.
