Chamonix Greywacke Pinotage is a refined expression of South Africa's signature red grape, showcasing elegance rather than sheer power. Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and ripe plum are layered with subtle notes of spice, cedar and cocoa. The palate is richly fruited yet beautifully balanced, with fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity providing structure and lift. This wine is made from 100% Pinotage grown on the slopes of the Franschhoek Valley. Fermentation takes place in a combination of stainless steel and open fermenters, followed by maturation in French oak barrels, resulting in a medium- to full-bodied wine with concentrated fruit, fine tannins and excellent balance.
