Felline Giravolta Primitivo di Manduria has lightly spicy aromas of black cherry and vanilla. Red berry fruit on the palate with soft, velvety tannins and good length. The Felline winery is in Manduria, Puglia, around 10km from the coast above the Gulf of Taranto. It was founded by Gregory Perrucci in '92, the 3rd generation of a wine family, born and raised in Manduria. He has dedicated his life to one of the classic varieties of the region - the Primitivo grape - perfectly suited to the sunny, dry climate.The winery has 120 hectares of vineyard across carefully selected plots and with soils ranging from sand, loam, tuff and clay on a base of limestone rock. Grapes sourced from these different soil types are vinified separately to harness their individual characteristics. His aim is to produce ‘real’ wines inspired by the traditions of the region.
