Coterie by Wildeberg is a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc which makes for a deliciously rich white wine that is expressive and taught. The palate has clean citrus, lemongrass and herbs, as well as warmth and texture from the 8 months ageing in French oak barrels. A delicious wine from a small producer in the Western Cape. Made in small quantities , well worth a try with some grilled prawns on a summer's evening in the garden.
Wildeberg’s rationale is to source the finest vineyards available across Franschhoek and the Coastal Region, from which cuvées are chosen to make Wildeberg and the Terroir Series releases. There is a small yet definitive expression of all the vineyards they work with, and its these cuvees that are again selected to go into Coterie by Wildeberg. Barrel fermented for 20 months.
