Coterie by Wildeberg is a somewhat unusual blend of Cabernet Franc and Malbec, but is an absolute gem and we're really pleased to stock it! The two grapes work hand in hand to produce a wine of depth and richness with complex, interesting aromas. Serious, muscular and savoury, with layers of flavour added by a slow 20 month fermentation in barrels. Particularly rewarding with food, but equally something to savour as you snuggle up in front of the fire
Wildeberg’s rationale is to source the finest vineyards available across Franschhoek and the Coastal Region, from which cuvées are chosen to make Wildeberg and the Terroir Series releases. There is a small yet definitive expression of all the vineyards they work with, and its these cuvees that are again selected to go into Coterie by Wildeberg. Barrel fermented for 20 months.
