Boutinot's Beaujolais Villages Les Pivoines is a deliciously juicy, super ripe wine that is picnic perfect. The grape Gamay gives notes of bright summer berries and fruit compote, vibrant freshness and a soft, approachable finish. Delicious served slightly chilled with salads topped with lardons and egg, pork pie and cold cuts.
Gamay vines grown on the slopes of the rolling Beaujolais hills. Whole bunch Gamay is fermented using traditional carbonic maceration techniques. A short cuvaison is used in order to keep the up-front, juicy, fruit characters.
