Wente Vineyards Beyer Ranch Zinfandel has deep and concentrated blackberry aromas are complemented by layered notes of spice, briar and notable rich, creamy oak. The mouth-filling berry concentration and solid tannin structure lead to a long finish. The wine delivers richness and balance that reflects focus and precision.
Since 1883, five generations of our family have handcrafted fine wines that express the very best of our vineyards and winemaking expertise. Our Beyer Ranch has historically been a premier location for Zinfandel. The vineyards are planted on carefully selected sites of sloping benches that lead to the banks of the Arroyo del Valle and Arroyo Mocho streams.
Each variety was fermented separately in upright stainless steel fermenters and pumped over twice daily.
The wine was pressed on the skins after 7-12 days.
The wine was aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 14 months.
