Pitars Sauvignon Blanc is a superb expression of Sauvignon from this lesser-known region of Italy which offers great value. The wine has an inviting pale yellow colour and aromas of tropical fruits, fragrant garden herbs and pepper. Those flavours continue on the palate, for a dry, refreshing and aromatic wine that has real character. A lovely, elegant example of Sauvignon from this historic region.
Harvest is the third week of September.
The must is extracted from the pulp, by soft squeezing, is separated from the skins before fermentation begins. The fermentation is done under controlled temperature to favour the extraction of colours, of taste and the growth and the preservation of the original aromas of the grapes.
