Fascinating deep, dark cherry red color. Intense, concentrated aromas of black fruit (blueberry jam), revealing notes of ripe figs and an exquisite smoky, mineral (graphite) streak. Velvety and flavorful on the palate with noble, fine-grained tannins. Oak aging endows the wine with fine notes of spices (bitter cocoa) and toast (roasted coffee).
Pago del Cielo Celeste Crianza is born 895 meters above sea level, where the vines and the sky form a magical connection, resulting in a wine filled with the freshness, emotion, and intensity of a starry night. A Tempranillo from Ribeira del Duero in its pure expression, with aromas of black fruit and delicate toasted notes with nicely oak aged undertones.
From its origins as winegrowers in 1870, Familia Torres has managed to combine tradition and innovation with the aim of making premium wine and brandy, always with the utmost respect for the environment. Rooted in the Penedès near Barcelona
for more than three centuries, Familia Torres historically has wineries and vineyards in the Penedès and other Spanish iconic regions, as well as Chile and California.
This wine is aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle.
The vineyard is located in the highest zone of the DO, where the vines and the starry heavens seem to share a magical connection. Nestled in the east-central part of the Duero river basin, close to Fompedraza and the river Duratón, a branch of the mighty Duero, this rolling landscape is characterized by moorland crossed by narrow valleys that comprise the region’s unique morphology.
Ribera del Duero is located in the Meseta Central or central plateau of the Iberian Peninsula, where the provinces of Soria, Burgos, Segovia, and Valladolid converge. It is home to a 115 km by 35 km strip of vineyard that stretches along the Duero river basin. It is one of the highest vineyards in the northern hemisphere, a high-altitude, complex land whose harsh climate produces exceptionally high-quality grapes.
