Chateau Calvimont Graves Blanc is a delicious white Bordeaux from the left bank, with a delicate and aromatic nose. Herbaceous, yet with ripe weighty fruit on the palate. It has a good linear structure with a gentle complexity and freshness on the finish. A wine to lay down - the high proportion of Sémillon will benefit from a little bottle ageing.
Grapes were hand harvested in late September, whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel with 4-6 weeks of lees stirring. The wine was aged in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and is completely unoaked.
