Chateaux Bois de Rolland Bordeaux Superieur is a classic Bordeaux from old vines. The wine is bright cherry red, with gentle hints of cinammon and vanilla on the nose. It's a structured wine with good length and gentle tannins. A lovely example of claret that's great for roast meats and dinner parties.
The former agricultural plot included old vines as part of the landscape and has been transformed by the Geromin family. Based just 17km from Saint Emilion on the clay and limestone Coubeyrac plateau, this 11 hectare property is run by two sisters, Audrey and Marion Geromin.
Fruit is picked from the 30 year old vines and vinified in stainless steel tanks. The wine spends some time in oak before being bottled.
