Italy has one of the richest wine histories on earth, and has countless styles and varieties - you could never get bored! In honour of this country's great wine heritage, we've put together a carefully selected mixed case with 6 absolute belters from our Italian collection. You couldn't have classic Italian without Barolo - often referred to as the King of Wines, Wine of Kings. The Pio Cesare Barolo is textbook, structured, savoury and elegant. The Amarone is made from grapes dried for 120 days - it is sumptuous, concentrated and delicious. The Masca del Tacco Susumaniello (one of Italy's rarest grapes) is full bodied, rich and intense, and rather impressive in its weighty bottle. The beautifully structured Tommasi Ripasso is opulent and gorgeous! Finally a Barbera d'Alba which is dry and elegant with bags of character - a great bottle of wine for some hearty Mediterranean cuisine. And we just love the Linea Oro Primitivo di Manduria! An absolutely top notch case for lovers of classic red wines!
