Château Vieux Coutelin Saint-Estèph is a well balanced wine with lots of red cherry and black plum aromas and a hint of cedar and spice in the background. An elegance Saint-Estèphe that can be enjoyed for many years to come. This 11 hectare property is planted on the well-drained sand and gravel of the Coutelin commune. The vineyard was classed as a Cru Bourgeois in 2011 before being bought by business man Chris Cardon in 2015. Along with consultant Eric Boissenot, they make an approachable style of Saint-Estèphe.
Once fruit is picked and vinified, wine is aged in part new and old French oak to develop the wine’s characteristics and add body and depth.
